Introduction

  • Purpose-
       Our purpose of this report is to analyze TD Bank as a whole and how we can improve the company technologically and economically. TD Bank currently uses systems such as their ATM, mobile application, and social media outlets to convenience their customers. Through various research of the company and from talking to the manager, we have learned a lot about the company and we feel that we can make recommendations to improve the company. We have learned the structure of the bank and all of the different types of software that the bank uses. In order to stay on top of their competitors, they have to continue to improve and continuously update their systems and methods.


  • TD Bank History-
          TD Bank, also known as “America’s most convenient bank” has been providing its customers with legendary service for over 150 years. The first branch opened in 1852 in Portland, Maine and the company was called Portland Savings Bank. Over time, the name changed multiple times while partnering up with other financial services.



          In 2008, TD Bank acquired Commerce Bank, one of the most recent notable changes to the company, and became TD Bank the way we know it today. They serve customers from Maine to Florida and provide the legendary WOW! service that their customer have come to know and love. TD Bank provides a variety of personal, small business, and commercial banking services. Some services included for these different types of accounts include: online banking, mobile banking, bill pay, CDs, IRAs, Loans, Debit and Credit Cards, Foreign Exchange services and mortgages.




        The company currently has 1,301 locations in America and will continue to grow. It is currently ranked as the 19th largest bank in the world, according to Forbes,  with over 85,000 employees. The bank has over 22 million clients worldwide and the number continues to grow with new accounts accumulating every day. TD Bank truly lives up to its slogan of being a convenient bank by staying open late and being open on the weekends.
