Lastly, the most popular hardware device that is used is the 24-hour, hassle-free, ATM at every location. Deposits, Withdrawals, and Transfers can all be done through the ATM.
Software
TD Bank uses software programs to compute data as well as benefit their customers. The Dell computers that are used in TD Bank locations use Microsoft platforms and software to operate. All of the computers as well TD Bank central headquarters use the same software programs so that they can share and update information and software efficiently.
TD Bank also provides, free of charge, mobile application and online banking services. These online services have transformed the banking industry. The mobile application can check you monthly statement, transfer money, pay bills, and even alert you if their is any suspicious activity on your account.
Database
The information system that handles the specific processes at TD bank is Encore Teller. Encore Teller is a vertical-market application that is used for all of the daily teller activities at TD Bank, things like keeping customer information, customer look up, and account transactions. Encore Teller makes every day banking activities easier for the bank teller, which creates faster and consisted experience for the customer. The main goal of Encore Teller is to standardize the transaction processes and reduce errors. By accomplishing these goals, the teller can provide a better one-on-one customer experience and a faster turnover rate to increase productivity.
Most importantly Encore Teller is used through the CLOUD. The Cloud consists of internet based computer resources such as data storage, applications, software updates etc. The use of the Cloud is vital to TD bank because of the large amount of personal information that is processed and stored. However, the Cloud services through Encore Teller is consistently updated to provide the latest technology to ensure this data is secure and not vulnerable to hackers or viruses. By using the Cloud TD bank is able to update their software with much less cost. Also is reduces Information Silos by making information easily available throughout the shared Cloud system.
